Welcome to Lushang Elementary School’s bilingual program! At Lushang, we mix arts and crafts with learning English. Our teachers use both English and Chinese, creating a fun and bilingual environment. In arts and crafts classes, students work with different materials, learn about colors, patterns, and shapes, and practice English at the same time. We provide lots of resources and regular bilingual activities to support their learning. We also have a bilingual art club where students can further develop their skills and practice English in a creative setting. Welcome, young artists! Today we'll learn about cool and warm colors. Cool colors are blues, greens, and purples; they remind us of the sky, water, and nature. Warm colors are reds, oranges, and yellows; they remind us of the sun, fire, and autumn leaves. Why does this matter? Well, cool colors can make us feel calm and relaxed, while warm colors can make us feel excited and energized. Let's look at some examples: a blue sky on a sunny day is a cool color, and an orange sunset is a warm color. So now you know about cool and warm colors. What will you create with this knowledge?

Cool Colors:
Cool colors make us feel calm and relaxed.

Have you ever heard of blue and white porcelain? It's a type of pottery with blue designs painted on white clay. The designs can be flowers, animals, or cool patterns like waves and clouds. Artists shape the clay into cups, plates, or vases and paint blue designs using a special blue color. The pottery is baked in a very hot oven to make it shiny and hard. It's special because it's beautiful and takes a lot of skill to make. You can see blue and white porcelain in museums, art galleries, and sometimes in people's homes.
